He expressed his admiration and respect for the leaders and visionaries who shaped India’s Constitution, which laid the foundation for a democratic, unified, and prosperous nation. According to the Prime Minister, their contributions have helped guide India toward achieving its goals while ensuring that democracy and equality remain at the heart of the country’s development.

PM Modi also highlighted the importance of Republic Day in reminding citizens of their shared values and commitment to progress. “It is our hope that this national celebration will preserve the values ​​of our Constitution and further strengthen our efforts towards building a strong and prosperous India,” he said, stressing the need to stay true to the principles that have been a cornerstone of India’s growth over the years.

Tight security in Delhi

Delhi Police has made extensive security arrangements for Republic Day. Along with Delhi Police, paramilitary forces are also on high alert, with a deployment of 70,000 soldiers across the capital. To enhance surveillance, advanced face recognition systems and CCTV cameras have been installed at various locations. The airspace will be closely monitored by an air defense system. According to Delhi Police, a six-layer security system has been set up to ensure safety during the Republic Day celebrations.

15,000 soldiers have been deployed along the duty path, with heightened security at all Delhi borders. Barricades are also in place throughout the city, and 2,500 CCTV cameras are being used for real-time monitoring. Additionally, the National Security Guard (NSG) dog squad has been positioned at multiple points, and anti-drone and anti-aircraft guns have been deployed. The entire city has been effectively transformed into a high-security zone, resembling a cantonment, to ensure the safety of citizens and dignitaries on this national occasion.
