Know about Kerala man who won Rs 20 crore Christmas-New Year Kerala lottery

Kannur: It seems once in a lifetime opportunity. The Kerala man may have never thought he would win such a big amount in the lottery game. Finally, his luck favoured him and he became he got hold of Rs 20 cr cash prize by winning the Christmas-New Year Bumper BR-101 lottery.

The man has now been identified as Sathyan. The names of the lottery winners were announced on Wednesday by Kerala lottery department. The winner named Sathyan reportedly bought the ticket from ‘Muthu’ Lottery Agency in Iritty in Kannur district.

Kannur resident purchased 10 tickets

A resident of Kannur, Sathyan purchased 10 tickets with one of its tickets won the jackpot, a report in Mathrubhumi quoted ‘Muthu’ agency staff as saying.

Sathyan purchased the winning lottery ticket on January 24. He identified himself as Sathyan on whose name the lottery ticket was issued, said the report. According to ‘Muthu’ agency, the man is not a regular buyer of lottery tickets.

Lottery ticket was bought from Iritty branch

The number of Sathyan’s winning ticket was XD 387132 which was sold by Muthu agency located in Kannur’s Chakkarakkal. Muthu agency owner named Aneesh has also verified that Sathyan’s ticket was indeed bought from their Iritty branch.

The agency’s employees also confirmed that the man who won Rs 20 cr lottery was indeed the person named Sathyan.
