Jamia Millia Islamia reacts on allegations of bias against non-Muslim student | Details

New Delhi: The national capital’s reputed Jamia Millia Islamia university has reacted to fact-finding committee report about allegations of bias and discrimination against non-Muslim students.

“We have heard that a report on discrimination of non-Muslim including SC/ST employees and students  of this university has been released by one NGO named as ‘Call for Justice’. This is very unfortunate that Jamia’ s secular fabric has been questioned. It is true that some incidents related to cast based discrimination in the past were reported in previous tenures of Jamia’s Administration. All such incidents were either dealt insensitively or were ignored by the previous dispensations/Administrations in JMI,” the Jamia said in a statement.
