iOS 18.2 upgrade to inbuilt ChatGPT Plus – No apps needed

Apple is going all out in making AI more accessible to the masses by including ChatGPT Plus by OpenAI right into iOS 18.2 due in early December. This update will enable iPhone or iPad users to directly upgrade to ChatGPT Plus through the settings app rather than going through third-party apps or websites. This integration is a step up in Apple’s efforts to ensure artificial intelligence is easier to use and adopted by consumers.

It is also important to note that with the release of iOS 18.2, Apple users can now upgrade, cancel, or downgrade their ChatGPT Plus subscription from the “Subscriptions” tab in the Settings app. While the free version of the tool relies on GPT-3.5, the paid ChatGPT Plus subscription costs $20 per month and offers such bonuses as GPT-4, faster response, priority in access to new features, and better AI.

The integration also has a “Daily Limit” badge for the users who have not subscribed to the paid version of the application. A limited set of GPT-4-turbo options will be available for free-tier users, and the usage of which will be counted towards a daily allowance. This model gives a glimpse of what the advanced AI features can do without having to upgrade fully while paying users have full access.

Improvement of Apple’s AI Status and Personalization

The integration that Apple wants to develop is to have ChatGPT Plus work natively with iOS. By implementing ChatGPT within Settings, Apple continues with the notion that it tries to make its services as unobtrusive as possible. The update will enable users to locate and access the premium AI services faster and get to the iOS environment faster.

Extra Features to Secure the Privacy

Apart from the integration of ChatGPT, there are likely to be many performance, privacy, and security enhancements in iOS 18.2. Some of them are new privacy settings, enhanced voice assistant Siri, and better widgets. In addition to changing the subscription process for ChatGPT Plus, Apple brings more polished and intuitive interfaces to its users, offering powerful AI in their hands.

As AI becomes an increasingly significant part of people’s daily interactions with the digital world, the inclusion of ChatGPT Plus in the iOS 18.2 version is a step towards popularising high-level technology. Considering the fact that the modern world tends to become more and more technologically advanced with the help of AI tools and solutions, this update is rather appropriate for those users who are interested in AI technologies as well as for those users who can use it in their daily practice.
