New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday inaugurated 18th Pravasi Bharatiya Sammelan in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. Addressing the gathering, PM Modi emphasized the role of India’s heritage in shaping its modern identity and influence on the world. “The future does not lie in war but in Buddha,” he said. He pointed out that it is India’s heritage that enables the country to convey a message of peace, as opposed to conflict.

PM Modi also expressed pride in India’s growing global influence. He said, “Today the world listens to India carefully,” as India actively represents the Global South and asserts its position on the world stage. According to the Prime Minister, the speed of India’s progress in the 21st century is unprecedented, and the world is witnessing the country’s remarkable achievements in various sectors.
