‘Indian culture resonates globally’: PM Modi offers glimpses from his foreign visits

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has posted an amazing video on social media platform X that reflects the worldwide fascination with India’s culture and its rich history.

In the post on X, PM Modi wrote, “Indian culture resonates globally”, as he shared glimpses from his foreign visits. “Wherever I go, I see immense enthusiasm towards our history and culture, which is extremely gladdening. Here is a glimpse…”, he said.

The video shows how Austrian artists welcomed PM Modi with a rendition of ‘Vande Mataram’ at his hotel in Vienna in July this year. The European nation had rolled out the red carpet for the PM Modi’s visit, the first by an Indian Prime Minister in four decades. The choir and orchestra, comprising 50 members, were conducted by Vijay Upadhyay, the Indian director of the Department of Music at the University of Vienna.

The video also has a Garba being performed in Poland, as the PM watches and admires it, and also an exuberant garba performance in Moscow. These are followed by a Dholida performance in Kazan as well as a Dandiya Raas in Bhutan.

Dancers performing on the song ‘Ami Raji Modi ji na Raaj Maa Re’ in Bhutan, while enthralling PM Modi makes the video more captivating. Next is a Bharatnatyam performance in Singapore. The caption says: ‘Singapore sways to Bharatnatyam’. It really does!

A Bihu dance performance, and Gyatri Matra rendered collectively by the local people along with PM Modi in Laos is another key highlight of the video. Besides this, there’s also an “unforgettable” Ramayana presentation in Laos that showcases the cultural vibrance of India. The ‘Hare Krishna’ chants by Russians in Russia, along with the chanting of ‘Har Har Mahadev’ and a presentation of the Ramayana in Brazil, are mesmerising as well.

Truly, the reverberations of Indian culture across the globe could be felt as one watched the video!
