Despite the fact that it has been just a month since the arrival of the latest flagship iPhone 16, there have been several issues faced by users across the globe. Now, several user complaints on Reddit and Apple Discussions suggest that the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro users are facing several battery drain issues.
However, it must be noted that the issue emerged after the arrival of the iOS 18 update. While most of the reports are related to the iPhone 16 users, but there is a possibility that old iPhone users running their iPhones on the latest iOS 18 update may also be experiencing the same issues. Here’s what users have said.
iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Pro Battery Drain Issues
One of the users (mikefromwindsor) said on the Apple Discussions thread about the battery drain issues, “My iPhone 7 had better battery life than my iPhone 16 pro max. Unbelievably horrible battery life. It’s stunning how awful it is. The phone isn’t worth $2000, and it’s behaving like I bought it from the dollar store.” The user echoed the voice of several other iPhone 16 users who are facing similar kinds of issues. While another user said on Reddit that he recently got the iPhone 16 Pro Max which is facing battery drain even worse than the old iPhone 13 Pro Max.
Another Reddit user claimed a similar experience as he experimented while charging his iPhone 14 Pro and the iPhone 16 Pro, which is just two weeks old. He used both devices in exactly the same manner and left no apps running in the background, however, the iPhone 16 Pro (58 per cent) is draining battery much faster than the iPhone 14 Pro (85 per cent).
In most cases, the iPhone 16 model’s battery is draining even when the iPhone are not in use. One of the weirdest experiences of a user was when he claimed to charge the iPhone 16 full and left it unused at night. However, it dropped to just 18 per cent in the morning.
However, this is not the first time when iPhone users have experienced such sudden battery drop after updating their iPhones to the new iOS update. Many users claim that this emerged after the iOS 18 update. Will there be any updates for the iPhone users? We will have to hear something official from Apple.
