New Delhi: Five of the four members of the Chautala family have been trailing in the Haryana Assembly elections. Meanwhile, Abhay Chautala’s son Arjun Chautala is leading on Rania seat.
The trends show BJP is leading on most of the seats belying the exit polls. The exit polls had shown a poor showing for the BJP and advantage for Congress. The current poll results are expected to spell disaster for Chautalas led Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) and Jannayak Janta Party (JJP).
Chautala family leading only on one seat in Rania
INLD is leading on just one seat in Rania from where Arjun Chautala is contesting, Congress on over 35 and BJP on 49, as per the Election Commission of India data.
Meanwhile, JJP Chief Dushyant Chautala is trailing against Congress Brijendra Singh from Uchana Kalan assembly seat. It was Dushyant Chautala’s JJP that played the kingmaker in 2019 assembly polls and sided with the BJP to form the government.
In Ellenabad seat, Abhay Chautala is trailing against Congress’ Bharat Singh Beniwal.
