This operation comes after a deadly encounter in Kulgam, where two terrorists were killed and five security personnel, including a Jammu and Kashmir Police officer, were injured. During that encounter, security forces recovered several weapons, including two AK-47 rifles, five magazines and pistols.

Security tightened

Officials said that the latest operations were launched based on intelligence reports regarding the terrorists’ presence in Adigam village. The coordinated effort involved the army, police, and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) to secure the area. Authorities are maintaining a high level of alert and readiness to respond to any threats.

In light of the ongoing situation in Kog (Mandali) village in Kathua, security measures have been heightened. Barricades have been set up at various locations to check vehicles, ensuring the safety of the community and preventing further violence.
