Hyderabad: A portion of the road near a drain in Ghoshamahal area of the city suddenly caved in on Tuesday midnight at around 2 am, reports said.
The road from Darussalam to Chaknawadi, in front of the plywood shops caved in because of a sewerage pipeline collapse. No casualties were reported.
Locals in the area said that it was not the first time that the drain collapsed and a similar incident occurred 200 meters away earlier.
Traffic was disrupted in the area due to the collapse. Officials have been asked to begin repair work on the collapsed drain.
