New Delhi: UFC 308 is just a day away. The blockbuster event’s weigh-in showed Spanish football star Sergio Ramos sharing the stage with his fellow UFC Featherweight Champion, Ilia Topuria. The face-off between Topuria and Max Holloway was intense, but both showed mutual respect for each other.
All 26 fighters on the card of UFC 308 were part of the ceremonial weigh-in in the Etihad Arena, Abu Dhabi. The champ ‘El Matador’ didn’t go alone in the ceremonial weigh-in as he bought Former Real Madrid skipper Soccer legend Ramos.

Topuria is a Spanish fighter who is very fond of the Real Madrid club. Ramos played a vital role in leading the side to win many La Liga Titles and the Champions League. On the fight day, Real Madrid will take on arch-rivals Barcelona. It is the most intense football rivalry which is called ‘El Clasico’. Barcelona also gifted a t-shirt to Topuria’s opponent Max Holloway.
Barcelona gave a gift to support their rival’s opponent in the UFC 308. On Sunday, fans will witness two great match-ups in different sporting leagues. Topuria predicted that Madrid would win 2-0 as firstly Real Madrid would defeat Barcelona and then Topuria would beat Holloway.
Dana White plans to take UFC in Madrid and Barcelona
Ilia Topuria wants to defend his title under the light of Real Madrid’s home ground Santiago Bernabeu. But UFC couldn’t get the deal and later Dana White revealed that UFC is struggling to take UFC events in Spain as there are very less arenas.
However, White made a statement in the press conference of UFC 308 that “He is talking to Madria and Barcelona for the future UFC event”. Topuria jokingly replied, If UFC made a deal with Barcelona, he would not fight in his rival club’s stadium.
