New Delhi: And it just does not get any bigger than this. Diljit Dosanjh on Sunday (October 27, 2024) lit up New Delhi with the second show of his Dil-Luminati India Tour. The renowned singer-actor won the hearts of approximately 40,000 music lovers at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium by performing some of his biggest hits like 5 Taara, Do You Know, GOAT, Proper Patola and Patiala Peg.

The 40-year-old Punjabi sensation took to Instagram on Monday (October 28, 2024) to share a special video from the concert. In the clip, the Jatt and Juliet hunk can be seen explaining the origin of his popular phrase ‘Punjabi aa gaye oye’.

“When I was born, my mother spoke Punjabi, and the first alphabet I learned was in Punjabi as well. There are many languages in our country, and we respect them all equally, be it Gujarati, Marathi, Kannada, Telugu or Hindi,” Diljit explained. He added, “But because my mother speaks Punjabi, I also speak Punjabi. That’s why I say, ‘Punjabi aa gaye Delhi oye!’”
