Dehradun municipal election result 2025 LIVE UPDATES: BJP takes lead

Dehradun: In the initial vote-counting trends for the Uttarakhand civic elections, independent candidates are emerging as strong contenders, posing a significant challenge to the national parties, the BJP and the Congress. According to official data from the State Election Commission, independents have gained leads in several constituencies across the state. Meanwhile, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is also maintaining a notable lead.

Early results have begun to trickle in for some seats, with independents offering stiff competition to both national parties in many constituencies. As reported by the State Election Commission, independents have already secured victories in some councillor and member categories, including the chairman/mayor positions. However, these figures reflect initial trends, and the final results are yet to be declared.
