Chennai: A major rail accident occurred at Kavarapettai railway station in Tiruvallur district, Tamil Nadu on Friday when the Darbhanga Express collided with a stationary freight train. The impact caused three coaches of the passenger train to derail and two bogies caught fire. No casualties have been reported so far. Railway officials and emergency responders immediately rushed to the scene to evacuate passengers and initiate relief and rescue operations.
