Country won’t accept restoration of Article 370 in Kashmir: PM Modi at Pune rally

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, addressing an election rally in Pune on Tuesday, reiterated that the people of the country will never agree to the demand for the restoration of Article 370 in Kashmir.

He also affirmed that the Mahayuti government, comprising the BJP, Shiv Sena, and NCP, will once again form the government in Maharashtra, adding that the next five years will be a “new era of development” for Pune.

PM Modi emphasized that the Mahayuti government is committed to improving the connectivity of Pune. “Your aspirations are my command, your dreams are my inspiration to work tirelessly. Your needs shape the plans of my government. Ensuring a better life for you is our top priority,” he said.

The Prime Minister also spoke about the deep-rooted relationship between Pune and the BJP, one based on “ideology, culture, and faith”. He expressed his gratitude to the people of Pune for their continued trust in the party’s vision.

PM Modi highlighted that three key aspects empowering Pune— infrastructure, investment, and industry— have been addressed by the NDA governments in Maharashtra. He further stated that Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) has seen significant growth over the past decade. “Maharashtra is leading the nation in attracting investment from global companies, especially in the electronics and IT sectors. Pune and the surrounding region will receive a major share of this investment,” he said.

Maharashtra will go to the polls on November 20, with the results expected on November 23.
