Coimbatore: A shocking incident occurred at a private engineering college in Maileripalayam, near Malumichampatti, Coimbatore district. Prabhu, a 19-year-old third-year B.Tech student from Mekkuru village, Erode district, jumped from the 4th floor of his hostel on October 29 evening.

Prabhu, who imagined he possessed superpowers, sustained severe injuries, including broken arms and legs. His fellow students and hostel administration rushed him to a nearby private hospital, where he received initial treatment before being transferred to another hospital for further care.

Chettipalayam police investigations revealed that Prabhu often claimed he could jump from any building, leading to this ill-fated attempt. CCTV footage of the incident has gone viral on social media, sparking widespread concern.
