New Delhi: Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami today experienced the thrill and wonder of wildlife during a jungle safari at Corbett National Park. He remarked that this experience was not just about witnessing the beauty of nature, but also an opportunity to connect with the invaluable heritage of biodiversity and the natural world.
The Chief Minister stated that due to continuous efforts by the state government, jungle safari tourism has gained a new identity in Uttarakhand. A large number of tourists from across the country and abroad are visiting the state, which has significantly boosted the tourism-based economy. At the same time, new avenues of self-employment and livelihood have also opened up for local residents.
On this occasion, more than 1000 trees were planted collectively under the ‘One Tree for Mother’ campaign with the support of the Forest Department, local communities, and environmental enthusiasts. The Chief Minister emphasized that this was not just a tree plantation activity, but a heartfelt tribute to motherhood and nature.
The Chief Minister also met with the Forest Department team and appreciated their dedicated efforts toward the protection of forests and wildlife. He described their commitment and dedication as crucial to the conservation of the state’s greenery and biodiversity
