Chennai-Bengaluru high-speed special trains announced for Deepavali, details inside

Chennai-Bengaluru high-speed special trains announced for Deepavali, details inside

Chennai: Southern Railway has announced the introduction of high-speed special trains between Chennai and Bengaluru to manage the festive rush on the eve of Deepavali. The South Western Railway will operate special trains (06209/06210) on the KSR Bangalore-Chennai Egmore route on October 30 and November 3.

The trains will provide convenient travel options for passengers during the festive season. Train 06209 will depart from KSR Bangalore at 8:05 am and arrive at Chennai Egmore at 2:30 pm. Conversely, train 06210 will depart from Chennai Egmore at 3:55 pm and reach KSR Bangalore at 10:50 pm.

The special trains will comprise 1 Double Decker AC Coach, 1 AC Triple Decker Coach, 11 Sleeper Class Coaches, 4 General Second Class Coaches, and 2 Second Class Coaches designed for transfer passengers. This move aims to reduce congestion and ensure a smooth travel experience for passengers during Deepavali.

Kindly note:
To cater to the increased passenger demand during the #Deepavali festival, SWR will operate special trains between KSR #Bengaluru – #Chennai Egmore stations (two trips) and SSS #Hubballi – #Mangaluru Jn stations (one trip).
