Centenary plans, organisational review on agenda at RSS Prant Pracharak meet starting tomorrow

New Delhi: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) All India Prachar Pramukh Sunil Ambekar said the annual All India Prant Pracharak meeting will take place on July 4, 5 and 6 this year, with participation from Prant Pracharaks and Saha Prant Pracharaks of 46 Prants across the country.

Ambekar said the meeting, held every year in July, is a platform to review and expand the Sangh’s activities in various regions, address organisational challenges, and discuss the annual work schedules of RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat and Sarkaryavah Dattatreya Hosabale.

A key focus this year will be the review of Sangh’s training classes conducted over the past three months. Ambekar said 100 training classes have been organised so far—75 for those under 40 years of age and 25 for the 40-60 age group. He highlighted the importance of these training sessions in shaping personality and developing leadership.

The meeting will also assess the Sangh’s involvement in recent service efforts, such as relief work during the Gujarat airport accident and the stampede in Puri. Ambekar said RSS volunteers played crucial roles in both incidents.

The gathering will see participation from all six co-general secretaries of the RSS, as well as national-level office bearers and organisation ministers from affiliated bodies. Their ongoing work and future organisational strategies will be discussed.

Ambekar added that since March, all RSS Prants have been formulating plans for the Sangh’s centenary celebrations. These will be presented during the meeting. The centenary year will begin on Vijayadashami, October 2, 2025, from Nagpur and continue for a year with events nationwide.

Among the major campaigns planned are:

Griha Sampark Abhiyan: A door-to-door outreach initiative to spread the Sangh’s ideas, beginning November. Volunteers from each shakha will participate.

Social Harmony Meetings: To be conducted at district level, bringing together influential members from various Hindu communities to promote unity and eliminate social evils.

Important Citizens’ Seminars: From October 2025 onwards, seminars will be held throughout the year on topics such as Nation, Hindutva and Society, engaging respected members of civil society.

Youth-focused Outreach: Special plans will be designed to involve the youth, including public dialogue programs in major cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, and Kolkata—similar to the 2018 event held at Vigyan Bhavan.

Ambekar concluded by saying that these initiatives are aimed at further strengthening the Sangh’s presence and fostering national unity as the organisation approaches its 100th year.
