New Delhi: Parkinson’s is a disease that affects the brain and body movement. It causes shaking, memory loss, and trouble with balance. There is no permanent cure for it yet — only ways to control it. But now, Patanjali Research Institute has shared a new ray of hope through its latest research.
According to the study, Patanjali’s Ayurvedic medicine Neurogrit Gold may help reduce memory loss caused by Parkinson’s. The research was done using a tiny organism called C. elegans, which is often used in scientific studies. The study has been published in the international science journal CNS Neuroscience and Therapeutics by Wiley Publications.
Acharya Balkrishna, co-founder of Patanjali, said that Parkinson’s affects not just a person’s body, but also their mind and social life. He said Neurogrit Gold is a mix of Ayurveda and modern science, and this research proves that when natural herbs are studied in the right way, great results can be achieved.
Neurogrit Gold is made using herbs like Jyotishmati, Giloy, and Ayurvedic ingredients like Ekangveer Ras, Moti Pishti, Rajat Bhasm, Vasant Kusumakar Ras, and Rasraj Ras — all known to help with brain-related issues.
Dr. Anurag Varshney, Vice President and Chief Scientist at Patanjali Research Institute, said this is the first time an Ayurvedic medicine has been tested on C. elegans, and the results were excellent. He explained that Parkinson’s happens when the brain chemical dopamine doesn’t work properly, causing the body to lose control over basic movements and memory.
The use of Neurogrit Gold, according to the research, may help restore nerve function, improve memory, and bring back body balance and thinking ability. The study has created hope that this herbal remedy could bring major progress in treating Parkinson’s disease.
