New Delhi: In a decisive response to cross-border aggression, the Border Security Force (BSF) on Saturday announced that it had completely destroyed a terrorist launchpad located in Looni village of Pakistan’s Sialkot district, opposite the Akhnoor sector in Jammu. The retaliatory action came after Pakistan Rangers initiated unprovoked firing on BSF positions along the LoC from around 9 pm on Friday.
According to a BSF spokesperson, the firing targeted Indian border outposts in the Jammu sector without any provocation, prompting the BSF to respond in a commensurate and effective manner. The response not only silenced the Pakistani firing but also caused extensive damage to enemy infrastructure, including border posts and other assets used by the Pakistan Rangers.

“Our resolve to protect India’s sovereignty is unshaken,” the BSF stated, reaffirming its commitment to defending the nation against any form of aggression or terrorism emanating from across the border.
Intense mortar shelling and drone strikes launched by Pakistan on early Saturday morning resulted in the tragic deaths of five individuals in Jammu, including a senior J&K government official and a two-year-old girl. The attacks, targeting Rajouri and other areas, caused widespread damage and injuries.
