BJP announces new district presidents in Uttarakhand, state president Mahendra Bhatt congratulates new leaders

Dehradun: The BJP has announced the names of its 18 district presidents in Uttarakhand, covering all 19 organizational districts. This announcement, made on Monday, has brought both new and familiar faces to the forefront.

Pratap Bisht has been reappointed as the district president of Nainital. Govind Samant will serve as the district president of Champawat, while Rajendra Singh Tadiyal has been appointed as the district president of Rishikesh. Siddharth Agarwal has taken on the role of Dehradun Metropolitan President.

The full list of new district presidents includes Pratap Bisht for Nainital, Govind Samant for Champawat, Siddharth Agarwal for Dehradun Metropolitan, Bharat Bhushan Bhatt for Rudraprayag, Girish Joshi for Pithoragarh, Kamal Jindal for Udham Singh Nagar, Uday Singh Rawat for Tehri, Gajpal Bartwal for Chamoli, Prabha Gadiya for Bageshwar, Mahesh Nayal for Almora, Manoj Pal for Kashipur, Kamal Kishore Rawat for Pauri, Mita Singh for Dehradun Rural, Rajendra Tadiyal for Rishikesh, Rajgaurav Nautiyal for Kotdwar, Nagendra Chauhan for Uttarkashi, Ashutosh Sharma from Haridwar and Dr. Madhu for Roorkee.

New state president may be announced this month

There is speculation within the state BJP that a new state president may be announced this month. Party will register a landslide victory in the Assembly elections of 2027

BJP state president Mahendra Bhatt has extended his hearty congratulations and best wishes to all the District Presidents selected through the Organisation Parv process. He said that under the leadership of all the newly elected Presidents, the party will register a landslide victory in the Assembly elections of 2027 in the respective districts. Expressing happiness, he mentioned that this important phase of organisational elections in the state has been completed with the prescribed process and consensus.

Congratulating all the newly elected District Presidents, he stated that all the party workers and public representatives have agreed and handed over the command of the organisation in the district. The leadership has full faith in the capabilities and experience of all, hence it is expected that they will work to take the party forward strongly by coordinating with the workers. Expressing confidence, he said that under the leadership of these newly elected Mandal and District Presidents, the party will contest the Assembly elections and will also achieve a hat-trick of landslide victories.
