Under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, Punjab is moving rapidly on the path of progress. The state is emerging as a symbol of good governance and is reaching new heights in the welfare of farmers. The current Punjab government has won public trust through several impactful and important schemes.
These include – economic assistance for senior citizens above 60 years of age to visit religious sites across the country, a strong campaign against drugs, free treatment through Aam Aadmi Clinics, School of Eminence program to support children’s dreams, free electricity scheme, strengthening of law and order in the state, financial assistance for the families of martyrs, Road Safety Force to prevent accidents, and improving government infrastructure through home delivery of services.
In the field of healthcare, Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann is consistently introducing new reforms. The Punjab government has not only given relief to patients by providing 300 units of free electricity per month but is also ensuring close monitoring of road accidents, prompt arrival of the Road Safety Force, police, and ambulances.
The Chief Minister has set a target to reduce the death rate from road accidents in Punjab by 50% by 2025. Therefore, he is regularly reviewing progress on this goal.
To improve the quality of education beyond private schools, the Punjab government under CM Mann has launched the ‘School of Eminence’ initiative, which is now showing positive results. The number of students enrolling in classes 9 to 12 under this program is steadily increasing.
