New Delhi: Political activities have paced up in the national capital ahead of the announcement of the new Delhi chief minister today as Arvind Kejriwal resigns from the post even though he was released from jail after getting bail in the excise policy case.

The Aam Aadmi Party will announce the new CM face at noon after the crucial meeting of party MLAs at Civil Lines at 11.30 am to select the next chief minister. Kejriwal will also be present at the meeting and is expected to hold in-depth talks with his lawmakers for final approval.

Before the meeting, AAP leader Manish Sisodia and Saurabh Bharadwaj were spotted visiting Kejriwal’s residence to hold a final round of talks.
