After introducing new iMacs and Mac Mini, Apple has refreshed the MacBook Pro lineup. Apple has introduced the new MacBook Pro in 14-inch and 16-inch display sizes which is powered by M4 chipsets including M4, M4 Pro, and M4 Max. This means it will get a suite of Apple Intelligence features too. The new M4 chip based on a 3nm processor, first arrived with the iPad Pro models and recently came to the iMac 24-inch and Mac Mini this week.

Apple’s new MacBook Pro for 2024 comes with some crucial upgrades, starting with the fresh M4, M4 Pro, and M4 Max chip options. The entry model has the M4 chip with an 8-core CPU, an 8-core GPU, and 16GB of RAM—more than enough for daily tasks. For those who need more muscle, the M4 Pro and M4 Max versions step up with up to 16 CPU cores and a 40-core GPU, plus the M4 Max can go up to 128GB of memory, suited for heavier workloads.

You can pick between 14.2-inch and 16.2-inch Liquid Retina XDR displays, both with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1,600 nits of brightness for HDR. Apple’s new nano-texture option is also available to reduce glare in bright settings. Connectivity is well-rounded, with the M4 Pro and M4 Max models offering three Thunderbolt 5 ports, alongside HDMI, MagSafe 3, and an SD card slot, covering most users’ needs.

Battery-wise, the 14-inch model includes a 70Wh battery, while the 16-inch model has a larger 100Wh battery, supporting 140W wired charging. Apple claims up to 24 hours of video playback on a full charge. There’s also a 12MP Center Stage camera that adjusts to keep you centred during calls, even if you’re moving around. 

MacBook Pro 2024 Price

This new MacBook Pro 2024 starts at Rs. 1,69,999 in India for the base model, which comes with Apple’s new M4 chip and a 14-inch display. For those looking for a bit more power, there’s a version with the same 14-inch display but equipped with an M4 Pro chip, priced at Rs. 1,99,900.

If you need a larger display, the 16-inch MacBook Pro with the M4 Pro chip is available for Rs. 2,49,900, while the high-end 16-inch model with the powerful M4 Max chip will cost Rs. 3,49,900. The new MacBook Pro is offered in Space Black and Silver and will be up for grabs in India and global markets starting November 8, available through Apple’s online store and authorized resellers.
