Kakinada: Four people were arrested in a triple murder, which wiped out three generations of a family in Salapaka village, Kaajuluru mandal of Kakinada district in Andhra Pradesh, tv9 telugu reported.

The three murdered victims include a man, his son and grandson, who were found lying in a pool of blood with their heads smashed and sickles in their hands.

The triple murder occurred in the background of old feuds and insulting comments between the Bathula family, the victims and the family of the accused.

The deceased have been identified as Bathula Ramesh, Bathula Chinni (son) and Bathula Raju (grand son). Another person who was severely injured during the attack, was admitted to the Kakinada hospital for treatment.

The police said that preliminary investigation suggests a long-standing rivalry between the two families.
