All-party meeting leads to censuses; govt allots time for discussion on Operation Sindoor

After continuous chaos on the fifth day of the Monsoon session, Lok Sabha Speaker OM Birla held an all-party meeting. During the meeting, he urged the parties to maintain the decorum of Parliament and let meaningful discussions.

The opposition parties have been demanding discussion on key issues, including electoral roll revision in Bihar and Operation Sindoor, among others. The parties have agreed to engage in a constructive discussion from Monday.

The government has approved a discussion on Operation Sindoor, allotting 16 hours for a special discussion on it in both houses. The opposition parties have been asking for clarification from the government on the ceasefire following US President Donald Trump’s claim of stopping the conflict.
