PM to launch Vande Bharat train in Bihar
The PM inaugurated several infrastructure and development projects in the poll-bound state of Bihar. He inaugurated the Vaishali-Deoria Railway line in the state. A Vande Bharat Express train between Patliputra and Gorakhpur via Muzaffarpur and Bettiah is among the projects launched by the PM.
Speaking at the event, Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary said, “I want to thank Prime Minister Modi once again that he will lay the foundation stone and inaugurate projects worth Rs 6 thousand crores here through Namami Gange. PM Modi, please keep coming to Bihar. Whenever you come, you give gifts to Bihar. Bihar keeps waiting for your visit.”
Next on stage was Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. He reminded people that ever since the BJP-JD(U) combine came to power in the state, Bihar has seen continuous development. He reminded people of the dark days under the previous RJD regime, when people used to fear leaving their houses. The Bihar CM then went on to thank the PM for declaring that caste census will be included in the next Census exercise.
Nitish Kumar said, “When the NDA government was formed here, since then we have done much for Bihar. But all the governments before that, who keep making useless comments now, never did anything. People could not even leave their houses, and such poor conditions existed in Bihar then. Have you ever seen such a big gathering before as the one that has gathered here today for PM Modi?”
