Andhra Pradesh minister Nara Lokesh meets Union minister Dharmendra Pradhan, discusses state’s LEAP education initiative

New Delhi: Andhra Pradesh Cabinet Minister Nara Lokesh met Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan in Delhi on Wednesday to discuss the state’s new education reforms. During the meeting, Lokesh spoke on details about the LEAP initiative, which is aimed at improving the education system in Andhra Pradesh.

Following the meeting, Dharmendra Pradhan shared a post on X saying he was happy to meet Nara Lokesh. He appreciated the efforts made under the LEAP program and praised Andhra Pradesh’s commitment to transforming education for the better.

LEAP stands for “Learning, Equity, and Access Pathways” and is part of Andhra Pradesh’s broader plan to improve schools, provide better learning environments, and prepare students for the future. Pradhan said he has asked the Ministry of Education to study the Andhra Pradesh model closely and look for best practices that could be adopted at the national level.

He also assured that the central government, under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, would continue to support Andhra Pradesh in building a strong education system. He said the goal is to make Andhra a hub for high-quality education, research, and innovation in line with the National Education Policy 2020.
