Delhi-bound IndiGo flight makes emergency landing in Nagpur after bomb threat

Nagpur: An IndiGo flight from Kochi to Delhi made an emergency landing in Nagpur due to a bomb threat. The Delhi-bound flight 6E 2706. Soon after receiving the information, local police and the bomb detection and disposal squad rushed to the Nagpur airport.

Police and fire teams are inspecting the aircraft. However, nothing suspicious has been found as of now. All the passengers are safe and investigation is ongoing, the airline said.

Earlier on Sunday, Hyderabad-bound flight of Lufthansa returned to Frankfurt due to a “bomb threat”, the airline said. The airline spokesperson, in a statement, said the passengers, who were provided with accommodation in Frankfurt, boarded another flight to Hyderabad on Monday.

“Out of an abundance of caution, Lufthansa flight LH752 from Frankfurt to Hyderabad returned to its point of departure after authorities were made aware of a bomb threat posted on social media,” Lufthansa spokesperson said in the statement.
