Meanwhile after all passengers were deboarded, they were asked to wait at the Hong Kong Airport. So far the airline has not released any statement regarding the matter.

The incident comes just 4 days after a London-bound Air India plane crashed soon after taking off from Gujarat’s Ahmedabad airport. The tragedy killed 241 people onboard the plane. One passenger had a miraculous escape. Apart from the deaths on the plane, 29 people died on th ground, after the plane hit a medical college hostel.

Of late several cases of aircraft of different airlines developing technical issues or turning back mid-air and making emergency landings are on the rise. Some of the recent cases include, a Saudi Arabia plane making a landing in Lucknow with smoke emanating from its wheels, a Lufthansa flight to Hyderabad being forced to make a U-turn and land back at Frankfurt Airport after being denied permission to land in India and another incident where an Indigo airplane flying from Delhi to Vadodara was forced to return to IGI Airport after an issue with its landing gear.
