BJP plans rallies to counter Opposition’s narrative on ‘Operation Sindoor’ and ceasefire with Pakistan

New Delhi: Amid criticism heat over ‘Operation Sindoor’ and the subsequent ceasefire with Pakistan, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has planned to conduct rallies to counter Congress and other Opposition parties’ narrative on the issue. The party also plans to highlight India’s achievements in these critical operations through a well-coordinated outreach campaign including contacting people on the grassroot level, sources told TV9 Network.

Public outreach plan

To ensure the message reaches the ground, the BJP will launch an extensive awareness campaign from state capitals to district, block, and booth levels. The plan includes organising rallies and mass campaign to connect directly with people across the country to ensure party’s perspective reaches every corner of the nation on ‘Operation Sindoor’ and ceasefire.

Strategy meeting by JP Nadda

An important meeting was held at BJP President JP Nadda’s residence on Sunday to finalise the strategy of outreach programme. Senior leaders including Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Information and Broadcasting Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju, Environment Minister Bhupender Yadav, Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal, and former Haryana chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar were present at the meeting.

Other senior party leaders like General Secretary (Organisation) BL Santosh, Joint General Secretary (Organisation) Shiv Prakash, and General Secretary Tarun Chugh, also participated in the meeting.

Discussions with PM Modi

Meanwhile, Information and Broadcasting Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw also met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi for an hour-long discussion on Sunday, likely focusing on the communication strategy and narrative for this campaign.

India and Pakistan agreed for a ceasefire following US President Donald Trump’s intervention on Saturday after an intense cross border fire for almost four days. India has launched ‘Operation Sindoor’ which killed over 100 terrorists at terror bases inside Pakistan and Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK) following killing of 22 tourists in Pahalgam in Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir.
