New Delhi: India and Saudi Arabi share a common interest in safeguarding stability and peace in the region, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said. He also described the kingdom as a trusted friend of India.

Speaking to Arab News ahead of his two-day visit to the country, the Prime Minister pointed out that bilateral ties between the two countries have expanded significantly since the creation of the Strategic Partnership Council in 2019.

The Prime Minister, while highlighting the shared ambitions between the two countries on economy, noted that the trade between both nations increased significantly despite global challenges in different areas like agriculture, energy, and fertilisers. He also hailed the deep integration of Saudi and Indian businesses, especially in sectors like technology and green hydrogen.
