New Delhi: A teacher in Uttar Pradesh’s Nonahra village in Ghazipur district fell in love with his own minor pupil, lured her and took her away with him to another place. When the matter came to public knowledge, the parents of the minor went to the teacher’s house. When they received no information from there, a case was filed by the family against the accused teacher.
The police took action based on the complaint, filed a case under the POCSO Act. They located the teacher, arrested him and sent him to jail.
According to sources, Vijay Kumar used to teach students in a village of Nonahra police station area in Uttar Pradesh and he made the students prepare as per their syllabus. And during this time, his proximity with a minor student of the same school increased and their relationship turned romantic. After this, both vowed to elope and live a life with each other without caring about the society. On December 20, Vijay eloped from the village with the minor student.
Police nabbed him from near a water tank
When the minor student did not reach her home even after the school hours were over, the family members went to the accused teacher’s house and inquired about her. The parents of Vijay said they had no information of any kind. The family members continued searching for their daughter but in vain. The teacher also did not reach his home. The girl’s family suspected that their daughter had been lured away by the teacher. The victim’s family lodged a complaint at Nonhara police station on December 22.
The police registered a case and launched investigation. During the probe, the police got information that the accused teacher had come for some work near the water tank in Village English. Acting on tip-off, the police arrested the teacher, who is a resident of nearby village Raipur. The police took action against the accused teacher under the POCSO Act already registered in the case and took him into custody and sent him to jail. The police said that the teacher had committed a crime against a minor student by abusing his position. Legal course of action is being taken against the teacher.
