Hero Reveals The XPulse 210 At EICMA 2024: We Wanted More!

The Xpulse fans have been waiting for a new Xpulse for quite some time now and Hero has updated the motorcycle heavily, although we are still missing a bigger engine. While Hero has increased the power and the capacity of this motorcycle, we cannot help but think what it would have been like with the 250 engine. Alas, here is everything you need to know.

The Xpulse has been updated with a new engine. It is the same engine which was being used in the Karizma XMR and after a lot of waiting we are finally getting a liquid-cooled engine for the off-road bike. The new engine is a 210cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled unit which produces 24.6 bhp and 20.7 Nm of torque. This is around 1 bhp less than the Karizma XMR, but we are sure Hero would have tuned the engine for more approachable power throughout the rev band which is more beneficial off-road.

The remained of the motorcycle has remained the same. The suspension still has 210 mm of travel at the front and 205 mm travel at the rear, there is switchable ABS and the front wheel size is 21-inches while that on the rear is 18-inches. At the end, it is just the new colour schemes which differentiate the older bike to the newer one.

Hero has also given the Xpulse 210 a new 4.2-inch TFT colour screen which will be a big departure from the older, ancient looking monotone display. It will incorporate Bluetooth Connectivity as well and we can also expect some navigation functions in it alongside the usual phone and music controls. We also assume that the Xpulse will now have ride-by-wire and so it will also have riding modes.

Hero has also showcased the Rally Kitted version of the Xpulse 210 and its very similar to the current rally kit and gets longer travel suspension, some off-road specific tyres, fenders and a few other changes to make it excel off-the-road.

We are expecting the bike to be launched by the end this year or early next year and we are expecting it to be priced around Rs 1.75 lakh (ex-showroom). Hero will also showcase a 400cc concept of the Xpulse at EICMA 2024 but that project has been going on for a while and we don’t know when it will become a reality.
