New Delhi:  The political landscape in Delhi is heating up as vote counting for the Assembly elections gains momentum, with the Greater Kailash, Jangpura, and Malviya Nagar constituencies emerging as key battlegrounds. Early trends reveal a fierce contest between heavyweight candidates, keeping voters and analysts on edge.

In a gripping contest for Delhi’s Greater Kailash assembly seat, BJP’s Shikha Roy has pulled ahead with a lead of approximately 2,500 votes over Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and Delhi minister Saurabh Bharadwaj. Congress candidate Gravit Singhvi finds himself trailing far behind, securing a distant third position.

Meanwhile, in the high-stakes Jangpura constituency, former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister and AAP candidate Manish Sisodia has established a lead of over 2,300 votes. His nearest competitor, BJP’s Tarvinder Singh Marwah, lags with around 5,500 votes.

The Malviya Nagar seat also presents a closely watched contest. BJP’s Satish Upadhyay has surged ahead with a lead of more than 2,800 votes. AAP’s Somnath Bharti holds the second position, while Congress candidate Jitendar Kochar trails in third.

Delhi Election Results: Initial trends show BJP leading on 41 seats

Across Delhi, the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) appears to be making significant gains, leading in approximately 40 constituencies. The ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), on the other hand, has taken the lead in around 30 seats. However, the margins are razor-thin in multiple constituencies, with vote differences of less than 1,000 reported in several key areas.
