Prime Minister’s praise and preparation efforts

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in the opening ceremony of the National Games, lauded the Uttarakhand government for its green initiative. The establishment of the Sports Forest is being meticulously prepared, with fencing being installed to protect the newly planted trees.

Amit Sinha, Chief Executive Officer of the National Sports Secretariat, highlighted that every tree planted would serve as a lasting memory of the winners’ golden performance. “With the inspiration of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, we are successfully organizing the National Games on the theme of Green Games. We have taken many such steps while taking green initiatives, which will send the message of environmental protection far and wide. Sports Forest is an important effort in this series,” said Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami.

1600 Rudraksha plants in the name of medal winners

The Uttarakhand government has undertaken several steps in alignment with the Green Games theme. These initiatives have garnered national attention and recognition. The program to plant 1600 Rudraksha saplings in the names of medal-winning players is a significant component of this green initiative. As the 38th National Games progresses, the Sports Forest will stand as a symbol of the collective effort to promote sustainability and environmental consciousness.
