Rathore, who has been known for his fondness for animals, was also found to have crocodiles at his house, which is a violation of the law. The crocodiles were found in a small pond inside his bungalow. Although Rathore had reportedly obtained permission to keep them, the forest department was notified about it, as keeping crocodiles as pets is illegal in India.

During the raid, authorities seized 14 kilograms of gold and nearly Rs 3.8 crore in cash. Additionally, several luxury vehicles were seized.

Officials also uncovered unaccounted business transactions amounting to around Rs 150 crore. This find suggests that Rathore and Kesarwani may be involved in tax evasion and other financial misconduct.

The raid, which began early on Saturday, was carried out by the Income Tax department along with other investigating agencies. Rathore, a former legislator with interests in the beedi industry, and Kesarwani, a former BJP corporator, are both facing scrutiny for their alleged financial irregularities.
