Dausa accident: 45 injured in bus-trailer collision on Delhi-Mumbai Expressway

Dausa: A tragic road accident took place on Delhi-Mumbai Expressway in which a trailer collided with a sleeper bus on Thursday morning. The bus was traveling from Madhya Pradesh’s Ujjain to Delhi.

How the accident took place?Four critically injured

The accident took place near Lahradi Ka Bas village in the Nangla Rajavatan police station area of Dausa district in Rajasthan. In the incident, nearly 45 pilgrims were injured. Of the 45 injured passengers, 20 of them were admitted to Dausa district hospital. Four critically injured passengers were referred to Jaipur, while others were sent to Noida and Delhi for treatment.

How the accident took place?

According to the reports, the accident took place due to dense fog. Initially, a truck collided with a trailer near pillar number 148 of Delhi-Mumbai Expressway. Following this collision, the bus, which was traveling behind the trailer, crashed into it.

The front portion of the bus was severely damaged. Most of the passengers were asleep when the crash happened, which led to the injuries of around 45 people on board.

Four critically injured

Upon receiving the information, Nangla Rajavatan police rushed to the spot, along with ambulances from Dausa. The injured were rushed to Dausa district hospital, with the help of five ambulance vehicles. From there, four seriously injured people were transferred to Jaipur for further medical attention. Some others chose to seek treatment in Noida and Delhi on their own.

In response to the large number of injured passengers, Dr Deepak Sharma, chief medical officer of Dausa District Hospital, ordered additional doctors and staff to be deployed. As of now, treatment is underway for the injured at the hospital.
