What is the case?Victim was distributing sweets to celebrate son’s birth

This comes after the 30-year-old man’s father wrote to the Sambhal SP alleging his son was killed after getting hit by a car that Barq was driving in June. The SP has assigned the case to the ASP for further investigation.

What is the case?

On 24 June, Gaurav, a resident of Alipur village, was killed when the MP’s car allegedly hit him on the Sambhal-Hasanpur road in the Nakhasa police jurisdiction.

The victim’s family had approached the Nakhasa police station, demanding an FIR against the MP. However, the MP claimed he was not in the car at the time of the accident, and a case was registered against an unidentified driver. Later, the MP’s driver came forward, but Gaurav’s father, Samarpal Singh, has continued to demand action against the MP.

On Wednesday, Samarpal Singh lodged a complaint with SP Krishna Kumar Vishnoi, alleging that the MP was driving the car when the accident occurred and that his sister was also present.

He questioned the police’s investigation and demanded a fresh probe and registration of a case against the MP. The SP has directed ASP Shreechandra to reinvestigate the case, stating that further action will be taken based on the findings.

Victim was distributing sweets to celebrate son’s birth

Gaurav, who ran a clinic to support his family, is survived by his wife, three daughters, and a son. After the birth of his son—following three daughters—he had gone out on 24 June to distribute sweets to friends and acquaintances.

He met with a fatal accident on his way home. An FIR was registered at the Nakhasa police station against an unidentified driver and the vehicle’s registration number, and a chargesheet has already been filed in court.
