‘Govt is protecting Adani, he should be arrested’, says Rahul Gandhi

New Delhi: Congress MP and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, on Wednesday criticised Adani Group, calling for the arrest of its chairman, Gautam Adani, over allegations of financial irregularities.

Speaking to the media, Rahul Gandhi highlighted what he termed as “double standards” in the government’s approach to law enforcement, alleging that people accused of minor offenses are arrested while Adani remains free despite serious allegations against him.

The Congress leader’s remarks come amidst row surrounding Adani Group, which has faced scrutiny following allegations of financial misconduct in reports by international investigative organizations. Rahul Gandhi accused the government of shielding Adani from accountability, pointing out that similar allegations in the past have resulted in action against others but not against the industrialist.
