New Delhi: A bold action by the head of Guru Ramdas Ji Gurdwara in California state of the USA has drawn widespread attention and acclaim across the globe. Bhupinder Singh Dhillon ordered Khalistani supporters to vacate a Nagar Kirtan event, asserting that their presence was inappropriate for the religious ceremony.

During the event, which celebrated the birth anniversary of Guru Arjan Dev Ji, Dhillon issued a five-minute ultimatum to the Khalistani supporters, instructing them to leave after they had enjoyed the kirtan. “This is a religious ceremony, and we have gathered here to celebrate brotherhood and unity. There is no place for political rhetoric here,” he declared to the attendees.

‘Must not tolerate any divisive ideologies’

Despite the ultimatum, some Khalistani supporters remained at the ceremony, brandishing political slogans and banners. Once the time limit expired, Dhillon have them removed from the premises. The incident occurred amid the participation of hundreds of devotees, who had come together to celebrate their faith and culture.
