A 43-year-old man died tragically in Kalavakurti of Nagarkurnool district after choking on dosa, local media reports said.
The man identified as Venkataiah, a resident of Subhash nagar colony, was eating a dosa, which he had purchased from a hotel.
The dosa was lodged in his throat, which led to suffocation and death on the spot. He died as he was trying to drink water to dislodge the piece of food from his throat.
As per reports, he may have consumed alcohol prior to eating dosa and it is not clear how it may have contributed the incident.
He is survived by his wife and three daughters, leaving behind a shocked and grieving family.
