New Delhi: Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo Mayawati has made a major announcement after the party’s crushing defeat in the by-elections. Mayawati said that the BSP will no longer participate in by-elections until the Election Commission takes concrete steps to prevent fake voting through Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs).
“Our party will not contest any by-elections now,” Mayawati said. “Fake votes are being cast through EVMs. Until the Election Commission does not make complete arrangements to stop fake votes in by-elections, the BSP will not contest any by-election in the country.”
