‘Won’t spare those who destroyed my life’: Tej Pratap Yadav alleges conspiracy behind RJD expulsion

New Delhi: A month after being expelled from the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) by his father Lalu Prasad, former Bihar minister Tej Pratap Yadav has launched a scathing attack on what he described as a “conspiracy” within the party. Alleging that a group of four to five people orchestrated his removal, Tej Pratap vowed legal action and declared he “won’t spare” those responsible for “destroying” his life.

Speaking to news agency ANI, Tej Pratap said, “I’m not the one to get scared. I will face the situation. The people of Bihar have seen how I was thrown out of the party due to a few people in the RJD. Taking advantage of my nature, these 4-5 people have done this. I will now go among the public to seek justice.”

Expulsion from party and family

The 37-year-old leader was expelled from both the party and the Yadav family by RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav following a controversial Facebook post in which Tej Pratap claimed to be in a 12-year relationship with a woman. The post triggered a political storm and public scrutiny, especially given his brief and troubled marriage to Aishwarya Rai, daughter of RJD leader Chandrika Rai.

Tej Pratap later claimed his Facebook account was hacked and that the post was manipulated. However, the damage had been done. Lalu Yadav, citing a breach of moral conduct and the impact on the family’s image, announced Tej Pratap’s six-year expulsion from the party and declared that he would no longer be considered part of the family.

‘No bitterness towards Tejashwi’

Despite the fallout, Tej Pratap maintained that he holds no bitterness toward his younger brother, Tejashwi Yadav. “As an elder brother, I will always bless Tejashwi to become the chief minister and will extend all support to him,” he said.

Yet, he didn’t hold back from threatening action against those he alleges are responsible for his ouster. “I will not spare the 4-5 people who have destroyed my life. Even now, I’ve respected my parents and not named these people. But soon, I will reveal their names and take legal recourse,” he asserted.

Tej Pratap also demanded increased security from the Nitish Kumar-led Bihar government, claiming a threat to his life. “I feel there is danger to my life. I urge the government to increase my security,” he said.
