New Delhi: A woman from Delhi took to social media to address her concerns regarding her amid Diwali celebrations. She told netizens that her sick dog hadn’t been able to sleep due to the sounds of the firecracker. The post divided netizens.
Naomi Barton told X users about the impact of Diwali crackers on her sick dog. She said that her pet suffering from a heart condition hadn’t been able to sleep due to the bursting sounds of the crackers. She wrote, “My dog has a heart condition and has been trembling with anxiety for the last hour. This will be her second night of sleeplessness. I hope those making loud explosive noises feel a deep sense of spiritual fulfilment!”

The post split the internet. While many were empathetic, many were miffed. They attacked the woman with rude comments. One wrote, “There is thing called sound insulation. Get that done.” Another user outrightly asked her to leave the country if she couldn’t deal with the noise. “Leave the country with your dog,” said a furious user.

An understanding person, on the other hand, said, “I understand cause I have seen this in my dog. My grandfather used to cry sometimes because of the noise and breathing problems. We live in a sad society. Hopefully, people will wake up.” Another individual shared a picture of their dog. In the image, the dog was seen wearing noise-cancelling earphones. However, they revealed that even those headphones were not helping their pet.
