The post suggested that anyone helping Salman Khan or Dawood should “settle their accounts.” The Mumbai Crime Branch is now investigating this social media post to determine if there is any connection to the murder.

In the Facebook post, Shubhoo Lonkar accused Salman Khan of harming their “brother” and suggested that Baba Siddiqui’s murder might be linked to his past involvement with Dawood under the MCOCA (Maharashtra Control of Organized Crime Act). The post mentioned that Baba Siddiqui’s death could be connected to Bollywood, politics, and property deals, particularly linking Anuj Thapan and Dawood.

The post also included a threatening tone, warning that anyone who harms one of their brothers would face retaliation. The names of Lawrence Bishnoi, Anmol Bishnoi, and Ankit Bhadu Sherewala were mentioned in the post’s hashtags, adding to suspicions about the involvement of the Bishnoi gang.

Investigation points to Lawrence Bishnoi gang

The police are investigating three main angles, one of which involves the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Baba Siddique was known for his strong connections in Bollywood and politics, particularly his relationship with Salman Khan. Sources from the Mumbai Crime Branch have revealed that in the initial investigation, it appears that the attackers may have ties to the Bishnoi gang.

The police believe that the three shooters had been doing a recce of the area for 25-30 days before the attack. On the night of the murder, the assailants arrived at the spot in an auto-rickshaw and shot at Baba Siddiqui as soon as he reached the spot in Bandra East.

The gang had earlier issued threats to Salman Khan, making this link even more concerning. While the investigation is ongoing, the police are looking into all possibilities, including personal enmity, political rivalry and crime connections.
