Kolkata: The murder case of social media influencer Kanchan Kumari alias Kamal Kaur Bhabhi from Ludhiana has sent a ripple across the society. She was found dead inside a car at the parking lot of Adesh University in Bathinda on the evening of June 11, and the police said that preliminary investigations indicate that she was murdered.
So far, the police have formed four teams to investigate the case, and the police are expected to hold a press conference to provide further information about the case. In this article, we will take a look at the lavish lifestyle of Kanchan Kumari.
Who was Kanchan Kumari?
Kamal Kaur was a social media influencer based in Ludhiana who was in her early to mid-30s. She was active on social media under the names ‘Kamal Kaur Live’ and ‘Kamal Kaur Bhabhi’. There were around 15.7K followers on her official account ‘Kamal Kaur Live’, while her primary Instagram account had more than 3,83,000 followers, showing her popularity among netizens. She used to upload reels which included controversial double-entendre videos. Notably, she was threatened by Arsh Dalla for her content.
Before becoming a social media influencer, she used to work in a private bank and Kaur left the job during the COVID-19 pandemic. However, there is no information about why she quit her job. A person fond of luxury life, Kaur used to wear expensive clothes and go to salons. On June 9, she left her home but did not return. She used to live at Laxman Nagar in Ludhiana’s Giaspura with her mother and sister.
According to her sister Neetu, they have three sisters and two brothers and Kamal was the sole earning member of the family. Her mother had complete trust in her and never stopped Kamal from going anywhere. Neetu said that Kamal was a person of good nature.
Kamal Kaur loved a life of luxury
Kamal Kaur was fond of a luxurious life and it was evident from her videos, most of which were shot in hotels, showrooms or big salons. Many of her reels used to go viral on social media and apart from Instagram, she was popular on other social media platforms like YouTube where she had 2.70 lakh followers and Facebook where she had 7.76 lakh followers. She made her last post on June 9 on Instagram where Kaur uploaded her photo with the caption, “No love, no emotion, no ***, what’s left is doubt, doubt, doubt.”
According to her neighbour Manjot Singh, Kamal had a good nature. However, she rarely talked to anyone, but if she ever met anyone on the way, Kamal would talk with a smile. The neighbor said that Kamal’s father died 7 to 8 years ago and he used to be sick.
