New Delhi: A Kolkata-based social media influencer hailing from West Bengal’s Asansol and currently being probed by security agencies has spilled the beans on his interactions with Jyoti Malhotra, the YouTuber and travel vlogger who has been arrested on charges of espionage for Pakistan and its ISI.
As per the influencer, he first met Jyoti during the Ram Temple inauguration in Ayodhya last year. Earlier this year, Jyoti went to Kolkata for content creation and he met her again at that time. He has told reporters, “We visited several locations, including a famous biryani shop in Barrackpore.” According to the influencer, Jyoti showed no interest in the military and air force bases nearby, presumably including Vijay Durg, the headquarters of the Indian Army’s Eastern Command located in Kolkata.
Among other places, Jyoti traveled from Manirampur Ghat to Seoraphuli and attended the wedding of another influencer in Howrah. The Kolkata-based influencer was shocked when he came to know about the arrest of Jyoti Malhotra and subsequent developments. He said, “I am truly shocked. This tarnishes the reputation of those like us who vlog,” and added that investigators had not contacted him and that he has no connection with others arrested in the espionage case.
In other news, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday said India forced Pakistan to surrender following Operation Sindoor that was a retaliation of the Pahalgam terror attack which took place on April 22. He said that while addressing a crowd during the foundation laying and inauguration of development projects in Rajasthan’s Bikaner.
“During Operation Sindoor, India avenged April 22 massacre in just 22 minutes by destroying 9 terrorists bases and they were punished beyond their imagination.” The PM said his govt gave free hand to all three armed forces to take appropriate decisions to respond to terrorism. He added that India will neither talk to nor do trade with Pakistan and if talks take place with Islamabad, it will be only about Pakistan Occupied Kashmir.
