New Delhi: Reacting to a video of leader of opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi meeting loco pilots inside Parliament House, where they reiterated their demands for adequate comfort and basic amenities in the cabins, Union railways minister Ashwini Vaishnaw in a post on X said that Indian Railways was in a better position than the Congress era.

“Today we have succeeded in bringing Indian Railways to a better position than the Congress era. The facilities for “loco pilots” have been continuously improving since 2014. And we are ready to provide them more facilities in the future as well,” read a post by him on X in Hindi, adding, “We are hard working people”.

Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday had shared a video where the loco pilots reiterated their demands for adequate comfort and basic amenities in the cabins. Gandhi said that the demand was necessary for the safety of millions of passengers who travel by train every day, and is a completely justified request.

“Today, again met the loco pilots in Parliament House, where they reiterated their demands for adequate comfort and basic amenities in the cabins.
“This is extremely necessary for the safety of millions of passengers who travel by train every day, and is a completely justified request.
“The loco pilots were arranged to meet the Railway Minister, who listened to their problems and promised to look into their concerns.
“I will ensure that solutions to these problems are implemented for the safe travel of the countrymen,” read his post.
